Who We Are

UnloadDaily ('we', 'us', 'our') provides a men's mental fitness app offering daily check-ins, private journaling (text and voice), an AI Coach, an anonymous Brotherhood community and accountability groups, and optional faith-based content. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, how it is used, who processes it, and your choices — and is written to match our Google Play Data Safety disclosures.

Information We Collect

Account information: your name, email address, and a unique account ID (required to create and manage your account). Content you create (optional, user-initiated): mood check-ins and notes, private journal and Mask Off entries, messages to the AI Coach, community and accountability-group posts, and reflections. Wellness/health information: your moods, emotional-pressure ratings, and journaling — this is sensitive data you choose to provide. Trusted contacts: if you use Brother Check, the names and phone numbers you manually enter (we do not read your device's contact list). Subscription data: your plan and purchase/subscription status. App activity: usage counters such as streaks, XP, and feature usage.

How We Use Your Information

To provide and personalize the app; generate AI feedback, reflections, devotionals, and growth plans; track your progress and streaks; operate the community and groups; process and manage subscriptions; keep the service secure and prevent abuse. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

AI Processing

Content you submit — journal entries, check-in notes, AI Coach messages, and devotional/Bible prompts — is sent to third-party AI providers (Anthropic 'Claude' for text, and OpenAI 'Whisper' for voice transcription) to generate responses on our behalf. These providers act as our service providers. We do not use your private content to train public AI models.

Voice Recordings

When you use voice journaling, your audio is transmitted for transcription and is processed ephemerally — it is not stored on our servers. Only the resulting text (which you can edit or delete) is saved to your journal.

Payments

Subscriptions on the web are processed by Stripe; subscriptions in the Android app are processed by Google Play Billing. Your full payment card number is entered directly with these processors and is never stored on our servers. We retain only your subscription/purchase status and processor customer identifiers needed to manage your membership.

Community & Groups

Posts in the Brotherhood community are shown to other users under a random, anonymous handle. Accountability-group posts are visible to members of that group under your chosen display name. Please do not share personally identifying or highly sensitive information in posts. We enforce community standards: you can report or block content, posts may be automatically hidden pending review, and our team reviews reported content and removes violations.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf to run the app — cloud hosting, AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI), and payment processors (Stripe, Google Play) — and only when required by law. We do not share your data with third parties for their own advertising or marketing.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your location (precise or approximate), photos or videos, files or documents, calendar, your device's contact list, web browsing history, advertising or device identifiers, or crash/diagnostic data. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers by default.

Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete My Account, or via unloaddaily.com/account-deletion. Deletion removes your profile, check-ins, journals, AI Coach messages, community and group posts, reports, blocks, subscription records, and all other associated data from our systems.

Security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), bcrypt-hashed passwords, and secure httpOnly session cookies on the web. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

UnloadDaily is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your Choices

You can enable or disable faith-based content, edit or delete your entries, report or block community/group content, cancel your subscription, and permanently delete your account at any time.

Not Medical Care

UnloadDaily is not a replacement for professional medical care, therapy, or emergency support. If you are in crisis, use the in-app Emergency Support or contact your local emergency services (in the US, call or text 988).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new 'Last updated' date.
